John McKenna, co-founder and CEO of Noah Media Group, is a multi award-winning producer and director with a storied career spanning multiple decades. Beginning his journey at ITV Sport, John transitioned into freelance television direction and production, successfully delivering both live and documentary programming.
In 2015, John founded Noah Media Group, following the critical acclaim of his first feature documentary, Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans, which was officially selected for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Since then, the company has rapidly expanded its slate of critically acclaimed feature documentaries and TV programs, boasting a client base of prominent sport federations worldwide.
Recent films from Noah, produced by John, include Villeneuve Pironi, a Sky/NBC Universal collaboration, 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible, an Emmy-nominated Netflix production, Arsène Wenger: Invincible, a Venice TV winner on Amazon Prime and Canal+, Finding Jack Charlton, a BBC documentary winner of Broadcast Documentary of the Year, The Edge, a BBC/Amazon co-production, and Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager, a Netflix original.
In addition to his feature documentary work, John has produced numerous TV documentaries, including South Of The River, a BT Sport/ITV/Netflix collaboration, and Adam Hills: Take His Legs, a Channel 4 production.
Noah Media Group has received recognition for its excellence, being shortlisted for Sport Production Company of the Year at the Broadcast Sport Awards in both 2021 and 2022.
