His academic endeavors led him to the University of Pittsburgh, where he initially delved into the realm of psychology, however, his interests soon shifted towards the film industry, as he began working as a set dresser in 1990. The serpentine path of the film industry subsequently guided him to the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico, and ultimately, to the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California, where he has resided and worked since 1996.
