Person Biography:
John Silver, also known as the Shard, is an American professional wrestler who debuted in 2007 and has competed for numerous promotions, including New York Wrestling Connection, Impact Championship Wrestling, CHIKARA, CZW, EVOLVE, Dragon Gate USA, Pro Wrestling Syndicate, Full Impact Pro, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, WWE, and others.
He made his CHIKARA debut in 2012 as part of GEKIDO, a group led by Mike Quackenbush's rival, Jigsaw. As the Shard, he formed a tag team with Jigsaw, known as Pieces of Hate, and won the CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas (tag team titles) in 2013.
Silver has also competed for other promotions, including New York Wrestling Connection, where he held the NYWC Fusion Championship, NYWC Heavyweight Championship, and PWS Tag Team Championship with Pat Buck. In CZW, he won the World Tag Team Championship with Alex Reynolds as the Beaver Boys. He also held the FTW Gen-X Championship and PWG World Tag Team Championship with Alex Reynolds.
In addition to his in-ring accomplishments, Silver has also had a notable character in CHIKARA, playing the role of the Shard, a villainous wrestler who was part of the group GEKIDO. He was known for his intense matches and feuds with other wrestlers in the promotion.
