John, also affectionately known as J.T. by his friends, was born in the quaint town of Union City, Tennessee, situated in the far northwest corner of the state, near the unique geological phenomenon of Reelfoot Lake. It was at the tender age of 20 that he first felt the acting bug bite him, when a scene from the movie "U.S. Marshals" was to be filmed at Reelfoot Lake. However, due to some miscommunication, he missed the opportunity to be a stand-in, and it would take him another 16 years to re-enter the entertainment industry.
After being laid off from a factory and waiting to start school, John stumbled upon an ad on Craigslist for courtroom extras in the crime reenactment show "Sins and Secrets". He submitted his picture and stats, and was subsequently asked by production to come and fill seats for no pay. Upon arriving at the federal courthouse, he asked where the show was being filmed, only to be met with confusion and uncertainty. Feeling tricked or scammed, he left the location, but later emailed the production team to congratulate them on their joke. To his surprise, they immediately replied, apologizing for the mix-up and implored him to return to the set.
Upon his return, John discovered the actual filming location and was asked to play the role of an assistant defense attorney, and later, the attorney in the defendant's interrogation scene. This marked the beginning of his second stint in the entertainment industry, during which he has worked sporadically on reenactments, television shows such as "The Vampire Diaries", "Teen Wolf", and "Necessary Roughness", as well as a few movies, all while pursuing a degree in computer networking.
Throughout his journey, John has expressed his gratitude for his success, attributing it to the unwavering support of his beautiful wife, Arrah Ford.
