Johnny Ma, professionally known as Nan Ma, embarked on a remarkable journey, commencing in Shanghai, China, where he took his first breaths. As fate would have it, he made the bold decision to leave his childhood home behind, relocating to Canada at the tender age of ten. This pivotal move marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, one that would be filled with diverse experiences and opportunities.
Prior to pursuing his passion for the arts, Johnny worked in the finance and fashion industries, where he honed his skills and gained valuable insights. However, his true calling lay elsewhere, and in 2010, he enrolled in the prestigious Columbia University Master of Fine Arts program, specializing in directing and screenwriting.
Fast-forward to the present day, Johnny has made Vancouver, Canada, and San Sebastián del Oeste, Mexico, his homes, splitting his time between these two vibrant locations.
