Jon Lee Brody was born and raised in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, where his parents, a business consultant and a civil engineer, instilled in him a strong foundation for his future endeavors.
Growing up, Jon attended William Fremd High School, where he excelled as a three-sport athlete, showcasing his exceptional skills in multiple areas, and also excelled academically, demonstrating his dedication to his studies.
Despite having a passion for cinema, Jon initially aspired to become a professional athlete, driven by his love for sports. During his high school years, he further honed his skills as a Golden Gloves boxer, a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and a member of the school's symphony orchestra, where he played the violin.
Jon's athletic prowess led him to play football at the University of Illinois, where he was part of the team for a brief period before an injury in his sophomore season forced him to end his playing career. Undeterred, he continued his education, graduating in May 2007 with a dual degree in Accounting and Finance.
With his academic credentials in hand, Jon received acceptance letters from prestigious law schools such as Harvard and Northwestern, but instead, he decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker. On August 1st, 2008, he took the bold step of buying a one-way ticket to Los Angeles, where he has resided ever since, dedicating himself to his passion for filmmaking.
