Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, two creative minds, first crossed paths at Parsons School of Design, where they decided to join forces to run a forward-thinking animation, design, and advertising firm, simultaneously exploring the realm of filmmaking. Their initial collaborations successfully pushed the limits of taste, technique, form, and humor. One of their early short films made its debut at the prestigious SXSW, which eventually led to their transition into feature filmmaking.
Their directorial feature film debut, 'Cooties', starring Elijah Wood and Rainn Wilson, premiered at the renowned Sundance Film Festival, and was later distributed by Lions Gate, becoming available on various video-on-demand platforms.
Their sophomore feature film, 'Bushwick', starring Dave Bautista and Brittany Snow, premiered in the United States at the Sundance Film Festival, and internationally at the Cannes Director's Fortnight. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
Cary and Jon's latest cinematic endeavor is 'Becky', featuring an impressive cast, including Kevin James, Lulu Wilson, Joel Mchale, and Amanda Brugel. This film was initially slated to premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, but instead, it was released in theaters and drive-ins, ultimately claiming the top spot at the US box office.
