Jongiorgi Enos was born to a French-Italian mother and a Texan father, making him the eldest of five siblings, all of whom would go on to pursue careers in the arts. Two of his sisters, Veronique Enos and Mireille Enos, would also become actors, showcasing a strong family tradition in the entertainment industry.
Enos began his acting career at the tender age of 12 and has since performed in over 100 theatrical productions, as well as numerous television and film projects, spanning more than two decades. His extensive training in acting was under the guidance of renowned acting coach Tad Danielewski, who has also worked with esteemed actors such as Martin Sheen, Sigourney Weaver, and James Earl Jones.
Enos went on to teach acting himself for many years, before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre and film from Brigham Young University's class of 1989. During his time at BYU, he had the opportunity to work closely with maverick Mormon filmmakers Richard Dutcher and Neil LaBute, who are known for their innovative and thought-provoking work.
In addition to his acting and teaching credentials, Enos is a prolific screenwriter, playwright, director, and producer. He is married to Santia Hershey and they have three children together, the youngest of whom suffered a brain injury as an infant. This life-altering event led Enos to become actively involved in advocating for children with brain injury issues, as well as causes and education related to this topic.
When not working in the entertainment industry, Enos enjoys a variety of hobbies and interests, including fly-fishing, book collecting, canoeing, and spending time outdoors. He is sometimes confused with his distant cousin, fellow actor John Enos III, who shares the same name but is not related to him.
