Jordan Cann was born on October 3rd to professional artist, Malcolm Cann, and Sandra Cann, a registered nurse. Growing up on the rough streets of Queens, New York, his life took a dramatic turn at the age of 7 when his family relocated to Hampton, Virginia.
It was in Hampton that Jordan discovered his first passion, dance, at the tender age of 7. He spent countless hours watching the likes of Michael Jackson, James Brown, Sammy Davis Jr., and Usher, carefully tuning his style to perfection. By the time he was 12, he had choreographed his first original piece, "Shackles," a testament to his burgeoning talent.
As he grew older, Jordan's love for dance only intensified. He went on to study ballet, jazz, Latin, African, and ballroom dance, but his true love remained hip-hop. When he wasn't dancing, he was excelling in the martial arts and gymnastics, honing his physical skills and discipline.
Jordan's introduction to acting came when he was given the lead role in a church play. After high school, he made the bold decision to take his talents to Hollywood, where he began his career as a professional dancer. He worked with a wide range of artists, including Will.I.Am, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, and Celine Dion, while landing commercials for companies such as Dreamworks, Axe, Verizon, Little Caesars, and Nickelodeon.
Jordan's martial arts skills came in handy when he landed a small role in the movie "Straight Outta Compton." This experience sparked a passion for filmmaking within him, and he decided to enroll in the Los Angeles Film School, where he earned his degree, specializing in editing, writing, and directing.
Since then, Jordan has produced several award-winning films through his production company, J&S Film Productions, which he co-founded with Aaron Thompson. He is now bi-coastal, splitting his time between Atlanta and Los Angeles as he continues to produce films and act.
