Jordan Mark Windsor's directorial journey began with the 2010 short film 'Runaways', funded by the New Zealand Film Commission's Fresh Shorts Fund, which premiered at the AFI Fest in 2013 after traversing numerous international film festivals.
Since then, Windsor has been actively directing as one half of the acclaimed directing duo, THUNDERLIPS, focusing on a diverse range of projects.
As a screenwriter, Windsor has dedicated the last three years to crafting feature film scripts, with a particular emphasis on 'Golden Years', which has received development support from Candlelit Pictures and the NZFC's Boost Development Fund, as well as 'Mum, I'm Alien Pregnant', for which he secured SEED funding through the New Zealand Writers' Guild in the latter half of 2019.
THUNDERLIPS, the directing duo comprising Windsor and his partner, have made a significant impact in the music video and commercial sectors since 2013. Their innovative music videos have garnered widespread recognition, earning six Vimeo Staff Picks and numerous awards in both New Zealand and internationally.
Notably, THUNDERLIPS won the Best Music Video award at Show Me Shorts for four consecutive years (2014-2017) and received a nomination for Best New Director at the UKMVAs in 2016.
In 2019, their campaign Pre Testie Bestie for Health Promotion Agency NZ secured a trio of prestigious awards, including Gold Awards at Axis in New Zealand, AWARD in Australia, and a Wooden Pencil at D&AD.
Throughout their career, THUNDERLIPS have continued to push the boundaries of storytelling, working on a variety of short-form projects while also developing feature-length screenplays.
