Garcia, a renowned filmmaker, embarked on a creative journey with Ícaro Martins to co-direct a trilogy of films that would delve into the complexities of human desire. The trilogy, aptly titled the "trilogy of desire", comprises three feature films that were released over a period of four years, starting with "O Olho Mágico do Amor" in 1981.
