José Manuel Lorenzo is a renowned figure in the Spanish audiovisual market, boasting an impressive career spanning over 25 years. As the Chairman and founder of DLO Producciones, a film and television production company within the Banijay Group, the world's largest content creation group for TV and multimedia platforms, Lorenzo has been instrumental in shaping the Spanish entertainment industry.
Prior to his career in media, Lorenzo studied nuclear engineering at the 'School of Industrial Engineers' in Madrid, but his true passion lay in the world of film and television. He pursued a degree in Film and Theater Direction at TAI and a Master's Degree in Television Marketing at San Diego State University in California, where he discovered his calling in the entertainment industry.
In 2004, Lorenzo founded Grupo Drive, producing the international musical success 'Hoy No Me Tengo Levantar'. He later established DLO Producciones in 2011, which has since enjoyed numerous successes, including the award-winning thriller 'La caza. Monteperdido' (TVE),the comedy movie and TV series 'Señor, dame paciencia' (Atresmedia, Warner Pictures),and the international TV series 'Dime Quién Soy'/ Mistress of war (Movistar+, Telemundo).
