Pozo's early career in feature animation was marked by numerous accolades and international recognition. He won the prestigious Spanish Goya Award for his work on the film "El Cid, the legend" (2004 - Filmax),which also received international awards and was sold in over 45 countries worldwide.
In addition to his directing credits, Pozo also produced several notable anime films, including "Gisaku" (2007 - Filmax) and "Nocturna, a Magical Adventure" (2007 - Filmax),which was nominated for a Goya Award and screened at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
As a producer in the fiction genre, Pozo has had a long and successful track record, with credits including the feature films "Nick" (2016 - Imminent),"The Caribbean, all inclusive" (2018 - Tindaya),"Solo" (2018 - Netflix),and "Olympics" (2022 - Universal Pictures Spain),which topped the Spanish box office in the summer of 2022.
Pozo has also ventured into fiction as a screenwriter and director, with credits including the feature films "Nick" (2016) and "73 minutes" (2018). His daring and irreverent short film "Plastic Killer" (2022) premiered at the 25th edition of the Malaga Film Festival and is set to screen at the prestigious Vancouver International Film Festival and the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival. Notably, "Plastic Killer" has entered the shortlist for Best Live Action Short Film at the 2023 Academy Awards.
