Joseph Benjamin began his career in the entertainment industry by taking on a role as an extra in the movie "Crossroads" in 1995. He then pursued a full-time career in modeling and acting for television commercials in Nigeria.
In 2002, Joseph returned to the motion picture industry, taking on various roles, including those on television. He worked with notable producers and directors, including Wale Adenuga and Royal Roots Productions.
One of his most notable roles was in the TV drama series "Edge of Paradise" under Africa's largest Cable TV Network Multichoice. This was a major highlight in his career, but it was only the beginning of his journey to fame and stardom.
Joseph's desire to express himself led him to explore other dimensions of the entertainment industry. He took on the role of a banker in the popular TV show "Deal or No Deal" and began to develop his love for music.
In addition to being an award-winning actor, Joseph is a songwriter and singer who is committed to serving the Lord with his voice. He auditioned for the hit show "Idols, West Africa" in 2006 and made it to the top 70 out of thousands of hopefuls.
Joseph has also had a successful career as a voice-over artist, working with top brands such as Coca-Cola, Heineken, Amstel Malta, Pepsi, MTN, GLO, Airtel, Etisalat, Samsung, Nokia, LG, Tekno, Multichoice, Stanbic Bank, Fist Bank, and UBA.
In 2008, Joseph landed a supporting role on the hit drama series "Tinsel" for Mnet, and in 2009, he became the host of the hit music reality show "Project Fame West Africa." He has been hosting the show from 2009 to 2016.
Since signing on as host of Project Fame, Joseph's career has taken a major leap. He landed a major role on ABC Network's hit show "Desperate Housewives Africa" in 2015, playing the role of Chuka Obi.
Joseph has received numerous nominations for awards both locally and internationally and has established a powerful brand. He is a sought-after actor in Nollywood and has a reputation as a strong leading man and a heartthrob for the ladies.
Most recently, Joseph featured on one episode of TNT Network's show "ClawS" and two episodes of the OWN Network's TV series "Green Leaf."
