Joseph Nizeti is a multi-talented individual, boasting a plethora of skills as an AACTA award-winning and ADG-nominated director, writer, producer, and composer. His unique blend of musical background and lifelong passion for film has enabled him to bring a distinctive creative perspective to numerous acclaimed projects across the Australian film and music industries.
With a wealth of experience in writing and post-production, Joseph has established himself as a valuable collaborator throughout the storytelling process. His expertise has been sought after for lecturing engagements at esteemed institutions such as the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) and the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney. Additionally, he has provided script editing and story consultancy services to a range of independent productions across Australia, including Jungle Entertainment, Wildbear Entertainment, Stranger Than Fiction Films, and others.
As a composer, recording producer, and musicologist, Joseph has a remarkable background in classical and film music, as well as music for installations and immersive experiences. Since 2013, he has frequently collaborated as composer and producer with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, working alongside renowned violinist Richard Tognetti AO. Furthermore, Joseph has undertaken international touring engagements with the ACO as a keyboardist, percussionist, and guitarist.
Joseph's impressive career has recently been recognized with a 2021-2022 Screen Australia 'Enterprise People' Industry development grant, acknowledging emerging creatives and supporting his career as a writer/director.
