Joseph Paul Branca is a talented and accomplished actor based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a diverse range of credits to his name. One of his most notable roles was as Chrysanthemum in the world premiere production of Paul Michael Thomson's Fremont Jr. High is NOT Doing Oklahoma! at Good Company Theatre.
He has also had the opportunity to perform in several regional productions, including Pete the Cat as Jimmy Biddle at Salt Lake Acting Company, Saturday's Voyeur as Elder DeLay Mortenson at Salt Lake Acting Company, Winnie-the-Pooh as Tigger, Newsies as Crutchie, and The Velveteen Rabbit as The Narrator at Hale Center Theater Orem.
In addition to his stage work, Joseph has also had roles in several films and television shows, including the Emmy Award Winning feature film Resistance Movement as Rudi Wobbe, and the true crime documentary Dog Valley as Gordon Church. He has received numerous awards and nominations for his performances, including the BroadwayWorld Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Crutchie in Newsies, two Westminster Theatre Society Awards for Best Actor for his performances in Post-it's: Notes on a Marriage, and the one-man show I Am Not Batman, and two Utah Film Awards for his portrayal of Rudi Wobbe in Resistance Movement.
Joseph studied acting at The University of Utah, and musical theatre and vocal performance at Westminster College.
