Joseph Thomas Campos' journey began on the road, with his feet never touching the ground in his birthplace, Winfield, Illinois. However, his roots eventually took hold in the Texas Rio Grand Valley, where he grew up and developed a passion for the performing arts. A graduate of Mission High School in 1991, Campos received the key to the City of Mission Texas in 2022, a testament to his enduring impact on his community.
Campos' desire to become an actor and stuntman led him to Austin, Texas, where he began his career in the early 2000s. His first significant role was as an extra in the movie "The Alamo," where he played a soldier in the Mexican army. He soon became a featured extra, performing various stunts and even taking on the role of one of the Davey Crockett Executioners.
Throughout his career, Campos has demonstrated his versatility by taking on a wide range of roles, from acting and voiceover work to stunts, lighting, sound, writing, and editing. He is known for his positive attitude and ability to quickly anticipate the needs of his colleagues, making him a valuable asset on set.
In addition to his work in film and television, Campos has also demonstrated his skills as a teacher, working with students at the Austin Film School and LUPE Arte. He has also explored his creative side through music, releasing the single "Juana Marijuana" and starring in a video with the late accordion player and vocalist Aniceto Molina.
Campos' impressive resume includes a Merit Award for Best Supporting Actor at Indie Fest 2009 for his role in "Guilty," as well as appearances in popular TV shows such as "Prison Break," "Dusk Till Dawn," and "American Crime." He has also appeared in the ABC TV series "Law & Order: Organized Crime" Season 3.
