J.P. was born in Cologne, Germany, where his father was stationed in the army, and shortly after, his family of four kids relocated to Belgium when he was just three years old.
As he entered his teenage years, J.P. began taking modern jazz lessons at the age of 16 and participated in his two high school musicals. He even had his first dance audition at Plan K in Brussels, which marked the beginning of his journey in the performing arts.
During his high school senior year, J.P. was selected by his local Rotary Club for a student exchange program with Lancaster High School in South Carolina, and as a result, he earned a full-time scholarship to the University of South Carolina. He went on to graduate cum laude with a Bachelor's degree.
Back in Europe, J.P. pursued his passion for singing and joined his local all-African choir, performing at weddings and local karaoke events. He also started performing with the local theater troop of Mortroux.
J.P.'s big break came when he booked his first commercial for Smart - Mercedes Benz after responding to an open call across Europe. This led him to relocate to Los Angeles, where he has since appeared in numerous films and television shows.
In his first feature movie, "Bottle Shock," J.P. played the role of Pierre Bréjoux, and he even shared a scene with Matt Damon in "The Informant." He has also booked roles in popular television series such as "Samantha Who," "Big Time Rush," "The Event," and "Castle," as well as the critically acclaimed series "Getting On."
In addition to his film and television work, J.P. has appeared in several commercials, including those for Liberty Mutual, Sharpies, and Visa.
