Raymundo Serafín Arroyo Batzaveth, professionally renowned as Juan Gallardo, was a Mexican artist of unparalleled versatility, born on March 15, 1940, in the picturesque town of Ixcapuzalco, located in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, to a family of Lebanese descent.

As Gallardo navigated the pivotal stages of his early life, he spent a significant portion of his formative years in the United States, where he held down a job as a waiter, simultaneously refining his skills as a singer.

In this period, he had the opportunity to cultivate his artistic talents, developing his craft through a combination of performing and working in the service industry.

Upon his eventual return to Mexico, Gallardo embarked on a dual career path, simultaneously working as a taxi driver and a mechanic.

In addition to his professional pursuits, he continued to nurture his passion for music, utilizing his free time to perform at various serenades and traditional festivals.
