Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens are a dynamic writing and producing duo with a prolific career spanning multiple mediums. They have created, written, and produced television shows in the United States, Canada, and Australia, earning a Constellation Award for their work on Primeval: New World.
In the realm of science fiction, they have made a significant impact as writer-producers on the fourth season of Star Trek: Enterprise. Their episode, "The Forge," received critical acclaim, with Ain't It Cool declaring it "not only the best episode of Enterprise, but the best episode of Star Trek." The couple has also written four non-fiction books detailing the production history of the Star Trek franchise, providing commentary for the Blu-Ray editions of Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek: The Final Frontier.
Their feature film work includes an adaptation of Alexander Gordon Smith's bestselling horror/sci-fi series, Escape from Furnace, which is set to begin production in 2018. They have also produced Aliens Ate My Homework, a family-friendly film based on the Rod Allbright & The Galactic Patrol YA novels by Bruce Coville. In addition to their work in television, features, and novels, Judith and Garfield have collaborated with the Disney Imagineers on several projects. They served as "Lead Land Writers" for the Adventure Isle section of the Shanghai Disneyland Resort, which opened in 2016. Most recently, they have been involved in creating entire park concepts and future attractions for Disney Asia, as well as working as Lead Story Consultants for the 40th Anniversary of EPCOT, set to take place in 2022.
Judith and Garfield began their careers as science and technology educators and have served on a NASA Space Policy Workshop with distinguished forward-thinking individuals, including Director of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Dr. Charles Elachi, NASA Chief Scientist, astronaut John Grunsfeld, and filmmaker James Cameron. As dual U.S./Canadian citizens, they work in Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Toronto.
