Judy was born and raised in the vibrant West Village neighborhood of New York City, where she first discovered her passion for acting as a teenager by taking her first class at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her academic pursuits led her to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, after which she further honed her craft by studying at the renowned American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Additionally, Judy had the opportunity to work under the guidance of esteemed instructors Mel Shapiro and Karlin Glynn, and later, she was a student of the late Milton Katselas and the Beverly Hills Playhouse, where she also became a member of the late George DiCenzo's Master Class. To further develop her skills, Judy studied improvisation with the accomplished actor Alan Arkin and performed with the improv companies THE VILLAGE SOAPS and PRESENTS OF MIND. Judy's creative endeavors have also led to the development of two sitcoms, one of which secured a top-six placement in the prestigious Scriptapalooza competition, while the other took second place at the LA Comedy Festival and was honored with a staged reading at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Furthermore, Judy adapted the screenplay for the award-winning short film NORTH OF PROVIDENCE, demonstrating her versatility and talent as a writer and performer.
