Judy Lewis, a remarkable individual, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, the product of a complex family dynamic. Her parents, renowned actors Loretta Young and Clark Gable, had a tumultuous relationship, with Gable being married at the time of her birth and Young being unmarried. To protect her reputation, Young chose to keep her pregnancy a secret, later announcing that she had adopted the child.
Growing up, Judy attended Marymount High School, graduating in 1953. She then moved to New York City to pursue her passion for acting, landing a small role on the Ponds Theater in 1953. Her talent and dedication soon led to appearances on Broadway, including Jean Kerr's "Mary, Mary", and she became a featured performer on several daytime television series, such as The Secret Storm (1954) and General Hospital (1963).
In addition to her successful acting career, Judy also excelled behind the camera. She produced the daytime soap Texas (1980) and won a Writer's Guild award for her work on Search for Tomorrow (1951). Her creative pursuits were not limited to the entertainment industry, as she went on to earn a bachelor's degree and then a master's degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles.
The 1980s saw Judy take a few years off to focus on her writing, resulting in the publication of her autobiographical book, Uncommon Knowledge, which detailed her parents' affair and her childhood. This book catapulted her to the status of acclaimed author. Judy then turned her attention to the field of psychology, earning her marriage and family - child counseling license (M.F.C.C) in the early 1990s.
Today, Judy continues to use her unique blend of talent, introspection, and spiritual awareness to help others. She is a devoted mother to her daughter, Maria, and proud grandmother to her two grandsons, Michael and Gregory.
