Margaret June Blair, known professionally as June Blair, was an American model and actress born on October 20, 1933, in San Francisco, California. She gained widespread recognition for being Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its January 1957 issue, with her centerfold photographed by Hal Adams.
Blair began her television career in 1954, appearing in various supporting roles in feature films and guest-starring in series television. Notably, she appeared in two episodes of the 1960-1961 syndicated western series Two Faces West, titled "Performance Under Fire" and "The Dead Ringer".
In 1957, Blair became engaged to singer Nino Tempo, which inspired his song "Looney over Juney". The following year, she ended her engagement with Tempo and started dating Lindsay Crosby, the son of legendary singer Bing Crosby. Blair's social circle also included other Hollywood actors, including Dick Sargent, Barry Coe, Mickey Callan, and Bill Holmes.
On May 21, 1961, Blair married David Nelson and joined the cast of the popular television show The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. Her husband, David, served as the best man, and the couple had two sons together: Daniel Blair Nelson, born in 1962, and Jamie Eric Nelson, born in 1966. Unfortunately, the couple divorced in 1975. David Nelson passed away on January 11, 2011.
