Junius Conyers Matthews was a celebrated American actor, whose remarkable career was marked by his distinctive and iconic voice roles in the esteemed Disney franchises, leaving an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.

With a career spanning over six decades, Matthews' professional journey commenced on the stage during the silent film era, laying the foundation for his future success.

His inaugural role was in the 1917 film "The Silent Witness," a pioneering work that showcased his burgeoning talent.

This was followed by his memorable portrayal of the Tin Woodsman in a radio adaptation of the timeless classic, "The Wizard of Oz," a testament to his versatility and range as a performer.
