Justin Kreutzmann was born into a world of art, music, and creative expression, with Rock 'n' Roll serving as his backdrop. At the tender age of eight, in 1978, his father gifted him a Super-8 camera, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion. Backstage at Grateful Dead concerts became his playground, where he would observe the people, band members, crew, family, and hangers-on, who would eventually become his actors.
Throughout his career, Justin has collaborated with numerous high-profile music legends, including U2, Motley Crue, Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Dhani Harrison, Perry Farrell, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Don Was, John Doe, Lou Reed, John Mayer, Emmylou Harris, Mavis Staples, Dr. John, Grateful Dead, Mike Campbell, Stone Temple Pilots, Pete Townshend, and The Who.
As an executive producer, Justin worked on the feature film "The Other One: The Long Strange Trip of Bob Weir". Additionally, he co-produced the Grateful Dead documentary "Long Strange Trip" alongside Martin Scorsese. His film "Break On Thru: A Celebration Of Ray Manzarek And The Doors" won Best Feature Film at the Asbury Park Music And Film Festival in 2018.
In 2022, Justin released his feature documentary "LET THERE BE DRUMS!", which he directed, produced, co-edited, and co-wrote. He is currently working on the official feature documentary of Jerry Garcia.
