Kahlil Ashanti's illustrious career in the entertainment industry began to take shape during his formative teenage years, marked by a series of auspicious appearances in community theater productions and open mic nights at comedy clubs strategically located throughout the Midwest region of the United States.

He took the courageous step of enlisting in the United States Air Force, a bold move that would ultimately lead to a remarkable and unparalleled achievement, as he emerged victorious in the prestigious 1993 Air Force Worldwide Talent Contest.

This outstanding accomplishment opened the doors to a life-changing opportunity, allowing him to tour with the elite Air Force Entertainment troupe, Tops In Blue, in both 1994 and 1995, thereby providing a platform for him to showcase his impressive range of talents, which included his exceptional skills as a comedian, dancer, and actor.

Kahlil's journey in the world of magic and comedy took a significant turn after his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1996. He continued to refine his craft by starring in his own magic and comedy dinner theater show at the prestigious Caesar's Magical Empire, situated within the iconic Caesar's Palace Las Vegas, from 1997 to 2000.
