Kai Alexander, a multifaceted artist whose creative trajectory is deeply rooted in the unconventional traditions of Absurdism, Tin Pan Alley, Cabaret, Commedia dell'Arte, and even Opera, was born to parents who were part of the esteemed Maharaja Circus in Europe, which exposed him to a nomadic lifestyle from a tender age.
Growing up in the picturesque countryside of Essex, England, Kai's childhood was marked by a unique blend of isolation and quiet introspection. As the son of gypsy parents, he was deprived of the conventional social interactions that typically define childhood, instead finding solace in the imaginative world of characters he created in the confines of his parents' prop's trailer.
This early introduction to the world of fantasy and make-believe would ultimately lay the groundwork for Kai's future foray into the world of theatre. His first taste of the stage came at the tender age of six, when he played the role of Jesus in King George's Grammar School's winter holiday play, a performance that would mark the beginning of his lifelong passion for the art form.
