Kamel El Basha is a multifaceted Palestinian artist who has made a significant impact in the world of screen and stage acting, as well as theater direction, play-writing, and production.
As a stage actor, El Basha began his career in the 1980s, gradually building a reputation for himself over the years.
It wasn't until 2017, however, that he gained widespread critical acclaim, winning the prestigious Volpi Cup for Best Actor (male) at the 74th Venice International Film Festival for his powerful performance as Yasser Abdallah Salameh in Ziad Doueiri's thought-provoking film, The Insult.
