Kata, a highly accomplished playwright, began her illustrious career in theatre upon graduating from the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest.
Her theatre pieces have been showcased in various esteemed institutions across Europe, including Poland's TR Warsawa, Germany's Schauspiel Hannover, Switzerland's Schauspielhaus Zurich, and Hungary's prestigious stages, garnering numerous awards and accolades along the way.
During this period, Kata started working with Proton Cinema and began a fruitful collaboration with writer/director Kornel Mundruczo.
Their first film together, WHITE GOD, received the prestigious Un Certain Regard award at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and made its North American debut at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
Kata's subsequent original feature, JUPITERS MOON, has been invited to the Official Selection of the 70th Cannes Film Festival, solidifying her position as a prominent and innovative filmmaker.
Kata's impressive body of work in both theatre and film has earned her widespread recognition and acclaim, cementing her status as a talented and versatile artist.
