Kate Byers' journey from acting to producing was a transformative one, marked by collaborations with esteemed industry professionals such as Mike Leigh, Roger Michell, and Mike Alfreds. This led her to pursue script development training in 2005, which ultimately resulted in her working with South West Screen Digital Shorts and the prestigious BBC Dennis Potter Award.
Her early work with Bristol-based filmmaker Esther May Campbell on the award-winning short film "Charlie Harry's Wondrous Nothing" not only solidified her position within the South West filmmaking community but also showcased her talent in producing award-winning short films.
It was, however, her work on the multi-award-winning feature film "BAIT" that catapulted Kate Byers to prominence in the feature film industry, cementing her reputation as a talented and accomplished producer.
