Kathy's academic background boasts a significant major in Music, complemented by a minor in Drama, which she earned from San Jose State University. This solid foundation in the arts laid the groundwork for her extensive professional training in theater, a pursuit she undertook with unwavering dedication for nearly a decade at The Western Stage.
During her time at The Western Stage, Kathy had the opportunity to showcase her remarkable talent in various roles, with particular standout performances as Frau Gabor in Spring's Awakening and M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias. Her impressive range and versatility as an actress were truly on display in these productions.
After relocating to the Los Angeles area, Kathy expanded her repertoire to include work in film and television, appearing on a diverse range of networks, including Spike, TLC, Discovery, National Geographic, UP, A&E, and Lifetime. Her extensive experience in live theater continued to flourish, with performances at esteemed institutions such as International City Theater, Fullerton Civic Light Opera, Laguna Playhouse, Long Beach Rep, Underground Theater, and 2Cents Theater.
In addition to her impressive list of credits, Kathy has also honed her skills through training at various renowned institutions, including South Coast Rep, Carolyne Barry Creative, Killian Workshops, and Meisner Technique under the guidance of Fred Ponzlov. Her dedication to her craft is further underscored by her membership in SAG-AFTRA, a testament to her commitment to the industry.
