Kathleen Crowley, a talented individual from the state of New Jersey, had the distinction of representing her home state in the prestigious Miss America pageant in the year 1949. Notably, she placed sixth and, with the scholarship monies she won, had the opportunity to enroll at the renowned American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York.
Her impressive performance in prominent TV productions of "A Star Is Born" in 1951 and "Jane Eyre" in 1951 did not go unnoticed, catching the attention of Hollywood and subsequently leading to her becoming a 20th Century-Fox contractee in 1952.
After leaving the studio, Crowley continued to work as a freelancer, maintaining a busy schedule in feature films, primarily focusing on Westerns and horror/sci-fi titles, as well as television. Throughout her career, she made appearances at film conventions in various locations, including Memphis, Baltimore, and New Jersey, before her passing in 2017.
