Kathryn, a multifaceted individual, has led a life marked by diverse experiences and accomplishments. Born in Canada, she spent her formative years in Saudi Arabia, before eventually settling in Los Angeles, where she has resided for over a decade.
Kathryn's educational background includes a prestigious degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, which she earned at the tender age of 19. Her early career in the entertainment industry began in Toronto, where she honed her craft on stage and screen, earning two Gemini Award nominations, the Canadian equivalent of the Emmy.
Since relocating to Los Angeles, Kathryn has been busy working on a wide range of projects, including films and television shows. Her recent credits include guest appearances on Criminal Minds and The Fosters, as well as recurring roles on Jane The Virgin, The Quad, Single Ladies, and Parenthood.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kathryn is a devoted mother and entrepreneur. In 2016, she co-founded Eastside Arts, a performing arts school for children, which she envisioned as a non-competitive environment where every student feels safe to explore and play. As a coach, Kathryn has spent years guiding young artists, and her passion for Eastside Arts is rooted in her desire to create a nurturing space for children to grow and thrive.
Kathryn shares her life with artist Jon Rannells and their two daughters in Highland Park. She is also committed to giving back to her community, serving on the board of the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House, a sanctuary for critically ill children receiving treatment in local hospitals.
