Kathryn's journey in the entertainment industry began with her breakout role in the award-winning feature film "Jack and Jill", directed by Johnny Kalangis, for which she received a Best Supporting Actress In A Feature Film Genie nomination for her portrayal of Veronica.
Following her success in "Jack and Jill", Kathryn starred in Kalangis' subsequent award-winning feature film "Love Is Work".
Since then, Kate has made appearances as a guest star and/or recurring guest star in various network TV projects, including "Nero Wolfe", "Street Time", "Brothers and Sisters", "Eleventh Hour", "Queer As Folk", the CBS movie of the week "Ice Bound" starring Susan Sarandon, "Brothers and Sisters", and a recurring role on ABC Family/Freeform's hit show, "The Fosters".
Kate has also starred opposite Chad Willett in the CBC, EntertainmentOne, and Leif Bristow-produced family drama pilot/TV movie "Port Hope", which tells the story of the Clarke family who live on a wild animal sanctuary.
In addition to her acting career, Kate is also the co-author/co-founder of The Responsible Artist, a book and venture that aims to support artists in thriving creatively and financially.
Moreover, Kate is the co-author of two books, "Falling in Love with the Camera" and "The Responsible Artist", and is also the lead singer of the electro-pop band, Pointe Claire.
