Katie, a talented actor and writer, hails from the city of Southampton. Her remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of 14, when she was cast in the critically acclaimed drama "No Child of Mine," directed by the renowned Peter Kosminsky. This breakthrough role earned the production a BAFTA for Best Single Drama, and Kosminsky went on to cast Katie in the powerful drama "Walking on The Moon," which tackled the sensitive topic of teenage bullying.
After completing her education in Drama and Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London, Katie joined forces with two fellow creatives to form the comedy group Trippplicate. Together, they showcased their talents at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival, earning a nomination for the Writers Guild Best Comedy Award in 2007. Katie's impressive range as a comedic actress was further demonstrated through her roles in popular shows such as "Green Wing," "The Complete Guide To Parenting," "Him & Her," and "Bluestone 42."
In addition to her work in television, Katie has made a significant impact in film, appearing in notable productions such as "Boy A," "The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus," and "Maigret." Her impressive performance in "Manhunt," ITV's highest-rated new drama, saw her take on the role of DS Jo Brunt.
Beyond her work in front of the camera, Katie is also a skilled writer. She has penned numerous site-specific theatre shows, including the award-winning immersive production "You Once Said Yes," which she collaborated on with Look Left Look Right. More recently, she has written scripts for "Peaky Blinders: The Rise" with Immersive Everywhere (2023) and "The Paddington Bear Experience" on London's Southbank with The Path Group (2024).
Katie divides her time between Washington DC and London, allowing her to balance her creative pursuits with her personal life.
