Biography

Katja Flint was born and raised in the US state of Utah. She then moved to Germany, where she attended high school and graduated with a high school diploma. Flint's initial ambition was to become a doctor, but due to the numerus clausus, she was unable to pursue this dream. Instead, she decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Flint's early career was marked by various jobs, including working as a photo model, waitress, and beautician. She also completed three years of acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School. During this time, she appeared at various theaters, including the Munich Residenztheater.

With her training complete, Flint made the transition to film, initially with small roles in films such as "Forget Mozart" and "Only Women, No Life". However, it was her leading role in the 1983 film "Kolp" that marked her breakthrough, despite the film receiving mixed reviews from audiences.

Flint's subsequent films, including "The Democratic Terrorist" and "You'll Kill Me", further solidified her position as a rising star. Her breakthrough film, "The Winners", was released in 1994 and received critical acclaim.

In addition to her film work, Flint has also appeared in several television films, including "The Venus Killer" and "Silent Steps", which have achieved high ratings. She has also been recognized for her beauty, being named "The Most Beautiful Woman in Germany" by the magazine "Bunte" at the age of 38.

Flint's personal life has been marked by her marriage to actor Heiner Lauterbach, with whom she has a son, Oskar. The couple divorced in 1991, but Flint later went on to become the partner of Austrian writer Peter Handke from 2001 to 2006.

In recent years, Flint has continued to work in the entertainment industry, appearing in films such as "The White Masai" and "Why Men Don't Listen and Women Park Badly". She has also appeared in several television films, including "Getting married is not a solution either" and "Der Turm".
