Keira was born in the vibrant city of Calabar, situated in the picturesque Cross River State, Nigeria. She was fortunate enough to be raised by her devoted mother, Elizabeth Hewatch, who was a dedicated teacher in the Nigerian Police Force. As fate would have it, Elizabeth was transferred to Minna, the capital city of Niger State, to take up a teaching position at the prestigious Police secondary school. Keira, who was just 11 years old at the time, accompanied her mother to their new home.
Years went by, and in 2005, Elizabeth's family made the bold decision to relocate to Ghana, a country known for its rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality. Keira, now a young teenager, was enrolled in the esteemed Graduate school of Management Studies, where she pursued a degree in Travel and Tourism and Hospitality Management. Her time in Ghana was marked by a sense of adventure and growth, as she immersed herself in the local culture and learned valuable skills that would serve her well in her future endeavors.
However, after completing her certification exams in 2006, Keira began to feel an insatiable passion for acting. She decided to take a leap of faith and pursue her dream, despite the challenges that lay ahead. Unfortunately, her initial attempts to break into the entertainment industry in Ghana were met with disappointment, as most roles required speaking the local dialect. Undeterred, Keira spent another year in Ghana honing her craft and gaining valuable experience.
In 2007, she made the bold decision to return to her homeland, Nigeria, to continue pursuing her passion for acting. With a newfound sense of determination and purpose, Keira was ready to take on the challenges of the Nigerian entertainment industry and make a name for herself as a talented and dedicated actress.
