Kelly O'Neal is a multifaceted creative individual who has made a significant impact in the world of filmmaking, performing arts, and visual arts.
As the founder of Mean Mama Dog Productions, KellyO created the beloved character Gilda Sue Rosenstern in 2008. She co-wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the award-winning feature film Gilda Sue Rosenstern: The Motion Picture!, as well as the Gilda Sue Live stand-up show, and web series.
The film received numerous festival nominations, including Best Director, Best Feature Screenplay, and Production Design. It went on to win Best Comedic Feature at the Central Florida Film Fest, and KellyO took home the award for Best Actress in a Comedy at the Southern States Indie Fan Film Fest.
As an actor, KellyO has had a diverse career, working in film, television, classical theater, musical theater, performance art, and stand-up comedy. Her artistic talents extend to visual arts as well, with her paintings, collages, and drawings being exhibited in galleries and commissioned for various projects.
As a vocalist, KellyO has performed with jazz and country bands, and was a founding member of the 90's glam/funk musical extravaganza, Superchick and Goodpussy. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Florida State University, studying with renowned instructors such as Joseph Papp, Roger Rees, and Raul Julia.
KellyO also attended The North Carolina School of the Arts and PAVAC, Miami's performing arts high school, further honing her craft and developing her unique artistic voice.
Throughout her career, KellyO has demonstrated her versatility, creativity, and dedication to her craft, earning her a reputation as a talented and innovative artist.
