Biography

Ken's remarkable journey began as a humble drugstore stock boy, before he discovered his true calling as a Zamboni driver. As his passion for design grew, he transitioned into a graphic designer, eventually becoming an art director. His creative pursuits led him to the prestigious School of Visual Communication Design at Kent State University in Ohio, where he earned a degree in art and design.

Following his academic endeavors, Ken embarked on a freelance career as a graphic designer, honing his skills and building a portfolio. In 2002, he joined the renowned advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, Oregon, where he spent over a decade as a senior art director, crafting commercial work that captivated audiences worldwide.

Despite his impressive achievements, Ken's life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with systemic scleroderma, a chronic autoimmune disease. As he navigated the challenges of living with the condition, he found solace in storytelling, a passion he developed during his time at W+K. This newfound passion drove him to pursue his dream of creating a film about his experiences, a project that has become a labor of love.

Throughout his journey, Ken has had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most talented creatives in the world, an opportunity that has further fueled his passion for storytelling. As he continues to battle systemic scleroderma, Ken remains committed to sharing his story, inspiring others, and leaving a lasting impact on the world of film and beyond.
