Ken was born in Japan and made the bold decision to immigrate to the United States in the 1970s. He went on to pursue higher education at San Jose State University, where he earned a degree in Marketing in 1985. This marked the beginning of his journey in the entertainment industry, which would soon become a significant part of his life.
In 1986, Ken experienced a breakthrough year, booking four commercials and working on a film, TV episodic series, and a sitcom. This was a remarkable achievement, showcasing his versatility and talent in the industry.
In the mid-1990s, Ken took a stab at stand-up comedy, honing his skills and crafting routines that would leave audiences in stitches. Some of his notable stand-up routines included "Hot Rodding with Mom," "Wannabe Chiropractor," and "Bris! Mom the Mohel."
Throughout his career, Ken has had the privilege of performing at esteemed venues such as The Improv, The Laugh Factory, New York City Cabaret (L.A.),and Gardenia Club in Los Angeles. He has also had the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned figures in the industry, including Charlton Heston, Rance Howard, Jack Lemmon, Michael Douglas, Steven Spielberg, Tony Scott, Ridley Scott, and Robert Altman.
Ken's impressive resume boasts over 80 commercials, as well as voice work for video games, radio spots, feature films, and TV shows. His recent commercials include Chillis, Safeway/Vons, Blockbuster, SBC, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Kay Jewelers, Miller Lite, and GoDaddy.com.
