Ketlain Difficile, a multifaceted producer and director, was born in the vibrant city of Cap-Haitien, Haiti. His journey in the world of cinema began in 2014 with a role in the film "My Internship in Canada" directed by Philippe Falardeau, marking the start of his long-lasting passion for the craft.
In 2015-2016, Ketlain further honed his skills by completing an internship at the prestigious Cine Institute, where he received basic training in cinema. He went on to work at the institution for several years, solidifying his expertise.
In addition to his work in the film industry, Ketlain is the founder of OFF, a non-profit organization dedicated to uncovering the wonders of cinema and fostering cross-cultural exchanges. This organization serves as a platform for discovering new talent and promoting artistic collaboration.
In 2020, Ketlain returned to his hometown of Cap-Haitien, where he founded OFF and began working as a freelance cinematographer and editor for local and international clients. His work has taken him across borders, allowing him to collaborate with a diverse range of artists and projects.
Ketlain's dedication to his craft was recognized in 2021, when he received a fellowship from the UNESCO Transcultura program. This prestigious award enabled him to take a course in Content Distribution at the International School of Cinema and Television of CUBA.
In 2022, Ketlain's impressive resume continued to grow as he worked as Assistant Camera on the Haitian Wedding, directed by Jamall Hill. He also showcased his versatility as Executive Producer and Director of Photography on the film Zora, directed by Richard Pierrin.
Currently, Ketlain is focused on writing and directing committed films that tell important stories and promote positive change. With his unique blend of creative vision and technical expertise, he is sure to make a lasting impact on the world of cinema.
