Ketrena Kirkland, a talented individual born in Charleston, South Carolina, has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in French and a minor in music from the College of Charleston, where her academic pursuits were accompanied by a passion for singing and acting.
Starting her career at the tender age of 12, Ketrena honed her classical voice under the guidance of Ms. June Genevose Bonner, a former Metropolitan Opera Singer. Her early performances took place at the esteemed Charleston Stage Company at the Dock Street Theatre, directed by the renowned Mr. Julian Wiles. As a student, Ketrena had the privilege of participating in various prestigious events, including Piccolo Spoleto, Opera in the Ozarks, and the Spoleto Vocal Arts Symposium.
In 2005, Ketrena's talents were showcased in Aida with the Atlanta Opera. Later, she pursued her interest in makeup artistry under the instruction of Ms. Syretta Bell, the Department Head of Makeup at Tyler Perry Studios, at Georgia State University. This led to her development of a passion for makeup artistry. As a freelance makeup artist for Estee Lauder, Ketrena had the opportunity to collaborate with top photographers and models in the Atlanta Market.
In 2008, Ketrena relocated back to Charleston, South Carolina, where she continues to pursue her passions in modeling, acting, and singing in various projects within the southeastern region.
