Khalil Maasi, the son of renowned martial artist Shaha Mfundishi Maasi, embarked on his acting journey as a student and member of the Harlem Theater Company in the vibrant neighborhood of Harlem, New York City. Throughout his career, he has honed his craft by studying the British Acting Technique under the guidance of Ruth Kulerman and the Meisner Technique with Paul Lemose.
Prior to his acting career, Khalil was a cast and crew member of Comedy Central's critically acclaimed "Chappelle's Show". With a background in martial arts, he began training at the tender age of five and even shared the screen with his father on ABC's "Wide World of Sports" at the remarkable age of nine.
As a multi-talented individual, Khalil wears many hats, including actor, writer, producer, and fight choreographer. His upcoming projects include the feature film "Sunset Park", directed by Jason Sarrey, as well as the thrillers "P.O.E." by Openmindz Entertainment, "The Turtleneck Gang" by Canei Productions, the feature film "Bullets Over Brownsville" by Openmindz Entertainment, and the documentary series "Openmindz On The Grind" also with Openmindz Entertainment.
In addition to his acting endeavors, Khalil is currently producing the on-camera interview show "INSIDE THE ACTION STUDIO" and is responsible for producing the Action Film & Stunt panel and events for the Newark International Film Festival/Newarkiff.
