As an author, he penned approximately twenty books, several of which have been translated into multiple languages, showcasing his remarkable talent for storytelling. Moreover, he was an integral part of the Progressive Writers' Association, a testament to his commitment to the literary world.
Throughout his life, he was an avid traveler, venturing beyond India's borders from 1938 onwards. One of his most notable journeys was in 1951, when he joined an Indian delegation to China as an academic visitor. His travels didn't stop there; he went on to visit various countries in Western and Eastern Europe, including Great Britain, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and the USSR, between 1954 and 1955.
In addition to his literary and travel endeavors, he was also the founder and owner of the film production and distribution company Naya Sansar in Bombay. His foray into filmmaking began with writing several screenplays, including Naya Sansar, Nai Kahani, Nai Duniya, Panna, and many more.
