Kim Bodnia is a renowned Danish actor, born in Copenhagen in 1965. He pursued his passion for acting at the Copenhagen Theatre school, graduating in 1991.
Kim's breakthrough role came in 1994 with the film "Nightwatch," earning him The Robert Award for best supporting actor. This success led him to establish his own production companies, Bella Entertainment and Bella Film Production, which have since produced numerous films.
Kim's extensive filmography includes cult classics like "Pusher" (1996),"Bleeder" (1999),"In China They Eat Dogs" (1999),"Escape" (2001),"Dragonfly" (2001),"Jolly Roger" (2001),"Old Men in New Cars" (2002),and "Himmelfald" (2002).
In 2010, Kim starred in Susanne Bier's Oscar-winning film "In a Better World," alongside Trine Dyrholm and Pierce Brosnan. He also appeared in the successful film "Love Is All You Need" (2012).
Kim won the Angela Film Prize Award for European Film making at the Killkenny Subtitle Film festival in Ireland in 2014. He is widely recognized for his role as Martin in the critically acclaimed Nordic Noir television series "The Bridge I and II."
Kim Bodnia has also worked with renowned directors, including Jon Stewart, with whom he starred in the film "Rosewater" (2014). The film received widespread critical acclaim, and Kim's performance opposite Gael Garcia Bernal was praised.
In 2018, Kim landed the role of Konstantin in the international television series "Killing Eve," which has been a global success and has won numerous awards. Kim was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the TV Baftas in 2019 and 2020.
Kim's recent projects include the Netflix series "The Witcher II" (2022),in which he played the role of Vesimir, and the film "Nightwatch, Demons are Forever" (2023),in which he reprised his role as Jens.
Kim is set to appear in the "Untitled Formula One Racing Movie" alongside Brad Pitt in 2023 and 2024, and will star in the world premiere of "Young Woman & The Sea" in the summer of 2024.
