With a strong sense of duty and a desire to serve, Estes joined the United States Merchant Marines and the United States Navy upon graduation, embarking on a 14-year journey at sea as a sailor. As his professional journey continued, Estes transitioned to the corporate world, assuming the position of corporate head of the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability group for a major Fortune 500 company. This role allowed him to leverage his expertise and passion for environmental sustainability, driving positive change within the organization.
In addition to his corporate accomplishments, Estes has also had the distinction of serving as a consultant and special investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board, applying his knowledge and experience to investigate and mitigate environmental and safety disasters around the world.
