Sarah Huffman's illustrious career began in the world of musical theatre, following her graduation from Sheridan College. Her initial success came when she played the captivating role of Cosette in the original Canadian production of the iconic musical, Les Miserables. This performance led her to London, where she further honed her craft by studying opera.
Her subsequent transition to British television and film was marked by her notable lead role opposite Ewan McGregor in the critically acclaimed mini-series, "Lipstick on Your Collar", created by the renowned Dennis Potter. This role earned her a Gemini Award nomination and solidified her status as a talented and versatile actress.
Throughout her career, Huffman has worked extensively in film, television, and theatre across Canada, the United States, and Europe. She revisited her musical theatre roots by taking on the lead role of Donna in the Toronto stage production of "Mamma Mia", a performance she undertook for a year.
In 2009, Huffman starred in the CBC series "Wild Roses", portraying a struggling rancher and single mother of three daughters, a role that garnered her a Best Lead Actress in a Dramatic Series nomination at the prestigious Monte-Carlo TV Festival. Huffman has also appeared in several internationally acclaimed films, including "Looking for Leonard" (2002),which premiered at the SXSW, London, Los Angeles, Durban, and Montreal International Festivals, as well as "De Grot" and "Three and a Half" (2002).
In addition to her on-screen work, Huffman has also made numerous commercials worldwide, including three Silver Lion winners. She currently resides and works in California with her husband and two daughters.
