Kim, an American actress, was born in Atlanta on July 2, 1969, coinciding with the remarkable event where Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon. Her early experiences in the performing arts began as a member of the renowned Mountain Shadow Precision Clogging Team, a national champion group. As a teenager, she started working in commercials and caught the attention of modeling agents in Paris and Milan, leading to opportunities in the fashion industry. Kim then pursued her passion for acting at The University of Georgia, where she was cast in her first film, the horror cult classic "Sleepaway Camp III".
Kim's next move was to relocate to New York City for four years to further her education at The William Esper Studio and Actors Movement Studio. It was during this period that she discovered her love for Sketch Comedy when Kenny Alfonso invited her to join "The Goods", a sketch comedy troupe. Her impressive performance as a chatty south Georgia elderly grandmother named Ester May caught the attention of Brenda Polly, a film agent at People Store, who subsequently offered her a role. Kim's work with the SketchWorks theater allowed her to develop a range of unique characters, laying the groundwork for her future comedic roles in "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "American Reunion".
