Kim Winter Mako, a talented individual, hails from Jersey Girl, where she spent her formative years and graduated from Indian Hills High School in Bergen County. This marked the beginning of her educational journey, which continued at Syracuse University's esteemed School of Visual & Performing Arts, where she majestically pursued her passion for Theatre. In addition, she had the privilege of spending a semester at The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center/National Theatre Institute in New London, Connecticut, further honing her craft.
Kim's early forays into the world of acting took place in New York City, where she played a pivotal role as a founding member of aTheatreCo., a non-profit theater company that showcased primarily original plays. This innovative endeavor brought together a talented collective of Syracuse University Drama alumni, including the company's founder, Craig Walker, and the renowned Tom Everett Scott. Furthermore, Kim had the opportunity to study under the guidance of esteemed acting coach, Bob Krakower, one of her earliest mentors.
Beyond her impressive acting credits, Kim has also demonstrated her literary prowess by publishing her short stories and poetry in various literary magazines, including Sou'wester, The Nervous Breakdown, The American Literary Review, and others.
