Kimberly's journey in the film industry began after a few years of performing at her local civic theater in Ocala, Florida. She landed her first taste of the film industry as a producer's assistant in an independent film, where she was given a small replacement role. This experience sparked her interest in the industry, and she soon found herself back on set after Warner Brothers Studio chose to shoot a pilot at her college campus.
Through networking, Kimberly came into contact with several more film productions, allowing her to appear as featured background on shows such as Burn Notice, CSI: Miami, and Mercy Reef. She even had the opportunity to fly up to New York City to appear in the pilot of 3 lbs, starring Stanley Tucci and Cynthia Nixon.
After returning to Miami to finish her college semester, Kimberly was surprised to find that her father had submitted her in a state-wide contest, and she had already become a top-five finalist. She was invited to come home and participate in a photo shoot along with the five other contestants, and the winner would be announced later that summer.
To everyone's surprise, Kimberly won the contest, and her picture was featured on the cover and in a spread in Ocala magazine, Florida's best magazine publication. This victory gave her the confidence to pursue a career in front of the cameras, both in TV and photo.
Kimberly auditioned for cycle 9 of America's Next Top Model and became one of the 13 finalists to make it into "the house". After the season aired, she decided to pursue her career further by moving to New York City.
Since arriving in July 2008, Kimberly has succeeded in earning her SAG card and continued to work on a variety of popular shows such as Gossip Girl, Life on Mars, Cupid, Law and Order, and HBO's "How to Make it in America". She is also the upcoming campaign model for Palmers Hair Shampoo and has been featured on several other Florida magazine covers, as well as being displayed within the contents of Cosmopolitan and Unvogue.
In addition to her successful career, Kimberly is a passionate animal activist and has been a vegetarian for several years. She is a major supporter of the animal rights movement and has been personally involved in various activities, including cleaning kennels, heading socialization programs, setting up fund raisers, and promoting the importance of animal population control.
